Summer TRADITIONS | Health Masters Camp Countdown

Remember how excited you were that summer was approaching? Now, here we are mid-July wondering where it has gone! Traditions are deeply rooted in our cultures and range from Art to Zestful lifestyles. One practice that doesn't with the season is healthy living. If you adopt healthy behaviors at a young age, it is likely that you will continue them throughout your life.
Here's a simple checklist:
- Good Nutrition – Eat a variety of foods; Load up on the vegetables and fruits; Switch to whole grain cereals, breads and pastas; Make your diet low fat; Limit your salt and portion sizes.
- Physical Activity – Get at least 30 minutes everyday; Embrace "move-able" moments; Be consistent.
- Optimism - Keep a positive attitude; Manage stress; Celebrate success; Take care of yourself.
This is a snapshot of the principles of Health Masters Camp (HMC). Now in its fourth year, HMC is preparing for its largest enrollment yet! With the support of our local community, kids learn healthy behaviors while having fun! The countdown is on!
